                 Women in non-Iranian Societies

   This paper is discussing differences in women’s challenges between cer-
tain societies in the Islamic world, particularly, Egypt and Arabian Peninsula,
before and after the British colonialism. It also looks at possible solutions for
this malignancy in our societal structure.

   After Islam, during the period from the Umayyad Empire to the era of the
Ottoman Empire, great misleading roles and retroactive laws were induced
on women, by the judgments of these empires away from the teachings of the
noble religion. The injustice treatments and social / economic laws continued
to peak and grow by the British colonialism in the Islamic world.

   In several Islamic countries, especial strategies were orchestrated and ap-
plied on the position Muslim women in society, to Role their countries. The
biggest efforts were concentrated on destroying the sanctity of social life by
corrupting women, and removing religious values.

   The brutally violent process of British expansionary Empire offered an
abundance of available women; in contrast the imperialists’ womenfolk are
dressed and presented in domestic settings, safely established under male con-
trol as wives and daughters. Women’s lives and bodies have long been one of
the key battlegrounds used by the west to gain its claim to being a superior
civilization and at the same time cast those it wishes to subjugate as barbaric.
“White man rescuing brown women” was the thrill of empire, whereby desire
